You could use a garden hose to put some water around the new windshield to see if it's leaking. If that much water is coming in around your seal, it should be easy to spot.
Your sunroof drains, if clean, should be able to handle quite a bit of water. If they're plugged, you're going to get water puddling up around your sunroof and it will come in to the car after a while. I learned this the hard way. I don't believe the seal between the sunroof and roof is meant to be completely water tight, thus the drains on all 4 corners.
