Just to close this out, I made the fix this morning. I bought the new banjo fitting from ebay, 6mm hose barb fitting that fits the 12mm diameter banjo bolt on the clean side of the fuel filter.

I bought (2) 8mm nylon/Buma N push-lok coupling connectors and 10 feet of nylon 6mm ID X 8mm OD hose from McMaster-Carr. The hose was rated at 250 PSI. The push-lok fittings were Legris so they weren't crap.

I cut off the old banjo fitting and about 1" of the old fuel line on the car. The new banjo fitting was driven into the new nylon hose and I cut it so I had about 2" of hose on the fitting. I used a flare tool line clamp to hold the hose tightly so you can drive the fitting in. I then pushed the coupling onto the new nylon hose. You need to make sure the hose is pushed all of the way into the fitting. Give it a good tug to make sure it bites. Take that assembly out to the car and push it onto the fuel line. Once again, make sure it's all the way inserted and give it a good tug. Put the banjo bolt with new seal rings into the filter.

That's it. The one plus about using this repair is that the hose can twist in the fitting after it's assembled. If you just drive a new fitting into the old fuel line you have to make sure you have it lined up correctly because the hose barb won't twist once installed. Not to mention there is no room to work and there is very little fuel line in view where it comes out from behind the tank.
