Car is a 96 9000 CS, automatic.
Mounted the BPC using a jury-rigging system, went well.
Swapping ECU encountered an odd issue. The ECU in the car is sitting loosely between the mounting bracket and the wiper system. There is a small unit sitting in the ECU bracket itself! No biggy, whoever worked on the car did something unorthodox - I knew the PO relied on Midas for 2~3 years - so, the Midas touch! Tried to take out the small unit to put the new ECU in the correct space, but the small unit would not come out, something unseen catches.
Question:
1. What is this small unit?
2. What could be catching? would I risk damaging this unit by trying too hard?
