Hello,
Yes that is strange and I missed that in your original post. Yes I would connect a voltmeter up and check to see if raises on that circuit.I would have to check the wiring diagram but I would see what other circuit share the grounding point and its condition. Maybe some voltage is leaking over the ground side especially if there is a crimp connection or something like that in the harness. I will take a look in the book tomorrow when I get a chance.
