On Jeeps as a point of reference, northerners would be better served by the more expensive LED unit(s) that, like you postulated, have a heater grid built into the glass to help clear ice and snow. The 2017 Wranglers apparently now have LED headlights to replace the miserable halogen setup but I don't know if they are heater gridded. You get what you pay for but I would think the aftermarket would have next to no interest in developing a system for the 9000.
