Have owned both on 9ks. First, a lot depends on the spring and wheel the shock is paired with.
The Koni fronts are more work to install. Combined with AR springs and OEM Aero wheels they give the most comfortable ride all around. Combined with SAS F?R 25mmm ARBs this setup handles very nice with a firmride. I have done much autobahn storming and laps of Nurburgring with this setup.
Bilstein B4 shocks with OEM wheels and springs are also very comfortable, less sporting the the above Koni setup.
Bilstein B6 on light wheels with H&R springs are very hard, best for smooth roads and fast driving.
On a lightened track setup 9k these shocks are plenty stiff in the first instance.
If you live with lots of potholes go soft. If you drive real hard go B6.
