Steve I didn't buy them new, but I believe H&R do one fitting and it lowers quite a lot. Also look at Maptun, they have lowering springs.
In considering shock choice it also matters what tire you plan to use, type and size.
Ultimately one persons 'barge like ride' can be anothers 'shook my fillings out!' ride.
For the track 9000 converted to generic 2.5" springs and use spring bases that allow height adjustment. Takes a bit of calculation and experiment to find what works best, but generally not too low or really mess up front suspension geometry, and much softer in the light rear than in the heavier front of a 9000.
