I think so. To the front...
Im so sorry not to remember. I guess I wanted to forget the whole ordeal -documented in this thread: https://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9000/index.html?bID=318363
this link shows my pic with the lever forward, which I suspect meant the blend door was 100% closed and called for 100% cold air.... because that was last summer when i needed the a/c
I had just been manually manipulating it with the dash off for a few weeks until i could get that third screw off. Again the rest of the linked thread documents my troubles.
But now that I am refreshing my memory with this pic, I dont think its going to matter and the ACC will re-calibrate just fine. Of course check everything with dash off, and if its no re-calibrating you can play with it and adjust the lever manually with car off or even on to tweak until everything is fine.
i think you will be fine however it goes in.
good luck as always. its been 100 degrees plus here in Baltimore for like two weeks....
glad i got my stuck axpansion valave replaced earlier this spring before the heat hit.
but it seems every summer something new to keep my air co going. but when it works, it works great.
