I have a 1995 Saab 9000 CSE, and after years without it, I now have the ABS light problem, but with slightly different symptoms.

When starting up after the car has not been driven (usually overnight) the light comes on at first, then goes out, as it should. As I continue to drive, it stays out, as it should, and as long as I keep driving it continues to stay out, giving the impression it would do this all day, as long as I don't stop and turn the engine off.

But when I stop and turn off the engine, and then turn it on and drive, after the initial on/off when starting, as I drive off, the light goes on, and stays on.

I guess from reading the various notes that people have sent, that it may be best to ignore this, and just not drive in situations where the ABS would be helpful or necessary.
