Hello JerseySaab, yes that type of transmission was also installed in Peugeot and Citroen cars. I finally found a transmission shop about 85 miles away. Their are expensive, but I guess I don´t have much choice I guess.

Either way, yesterday I did drain the transmission and took out the Filter and it was completely dirty to the point I think it was clogged. The filete cover was full of dark looking dirt and some tiny tiny (not much) metal slivers. Cleaned the filter cover, install a new filter and reinstalled the drain plug with new copper seal.

Later I removed the governor cover and was completely clean. No dirt or any other particles around.
I did removed the governor and replace the two square O-rings since I was in there anyway and the square O-rings were very flexible, but I replaced them anyway since the car has around 235,000 miles on it. What I forgot to do is to dent the bolt flange (washer part of the 36mm Bolt) after I torqued it to 175 lbs-ft. So I need to go back in and dent the bolt flange to make sure it does not come loose. Meaning, I need to drain it again and while I´m there, look at the filter again, to see if more of the black looking dirt is visible.

I have test drive it yesterday after putting everything back and this morning to do some shopping,
it seams and feels like is working lot better that it has been in the last 3-5 years.

Hopefully, when I take out the filter, is clean.

I will keep you all posted of the out come Sunday,
Jaime
