Mileage and previous owners are Important. Been driving my CSE since 2004 when I bought it with 40K on the odo. It has Been THE most reliable Saab I've owned (arguably the Only Saab) since I bought a new 84 900. With almost Zero reliability issues.
Currently.. I'm going through an Extensive refurb adventure tho, Intending to continue the things reliability for another decade.
Replaced All suspension rubbers.
Rebuilt the calipers fully [Saabits.uk has a complete Rear caliper rebuild kit including THE critical Ebrake parts] Fitted braided lines. fresh discs, EBC Red pads after Mucho experimental ($$$) testings of 'other' pads :-) Tie rod ends, Ball joints. Fitting fresh Inner tie rods next. A New (real) Di cassette. Fresh ex system from catalytic back.
Rebuilt Starter, Rebuilt Alternator. Engine has a slight Head gasket oil leak at right front edge. HG is planned as well as fresh Chains.. given as the head will be Off anyways, parts are now in hand.
Necessary ?? maybe not.
But I require my Cars to drive as if just out of the Showroom.

Entire point to all this babble: Parts supplies are evaporating quickly.
IF you want to rehab/restore repair even.. a Saab 9000, this likely the last year/chance to do so... parts availability wise.
