If it is real nice hire a independent appraiser they will write what it is worth and maybe higher.
My wife's excellent 9-5 Aero got rear ended they lowballed it , I got a appraiser cost $150 and he came to the house , nice written up piece , got 3 times what they wanted to give me but it did take 3 months and several emails and phone calls to get it done and I got to keep the car with a excellent drive train.Don't let them push you around also you do have the right to take it to the repair shop of your choice no matter what they say if you want it repaired , only problem there many shops don't want the job if it is certain ins. companies.Be firm it is your car ! Good luck.
