The factory procedure for the knob is to cut it in half with a hacksaw. It is supposed to be glued on. You may be able to strike it firmly on the bottom and pop it off. YMMV.

For the airbag, there are a few screws across the top, such as under the srs badge. There are a few screws along the bottom under the fuse panel trim. Largely it attaches in exactly the same way the glovebox does, if you've ever done one of those cars.
