Hi Folks.
This post refers to my otherwise wonderful '97 Aero.
The young man I bought it from did some rather strange stuff to it & the important stuff got corrected before it was put back on the roads...BUT=>
The door locking & alarm stuff has always been wonky - for example, the LED stays lit 24/7 & only flashes when it feels like it - the door lock switches also work only at odd & irregular times, and the motion sensor...works - a bit TOO well.
So finally I am at the point where I need to disable the alarm system 100%.
Past experiences taught me to locate the module(s) someplace under the dash after taking stuff apart to get in there.
My query is this:
Does any quick & dirty method exist whereby the alarm can be de-powered without the disassembly ??
I can cope with its crazinesses so far - but I'd rather just be rid of them altogether now.
Manually locking & unlocking is really no big deal, so that part of it can be worked around easily.
Thanks for any help with this !!
