I performed all diagnostics from the trace side of the board. I started with the power and ground pins and checked for resistance between that and whichever component it was connected to by a trace on the board. I checked every two solder joints on the board connected by a trace. I assumed that if one of the two joints was cracked, I would measure resistance when doing this. I used a 22W pencil tip iron at 700 degrees Fahrenheit, bought from Amazon. I think yours should work fine! I found that any solder joints connected to ground may take a while to melt, just because of all the extra traces that can dissipate heat.
