Today I went to move the car in front of our garage to work on it. This is the first time I've started it since the EDU problem occurred.

The stupid thing appears to have fixed itself, something that I'm always very suspicious of. However I took the car for a decently long ride and hit some pretty good bumps and the EDU didn't skip a beat.

So for now I'm going to call it good. I don't feel like tearing into the dash and instrument cluster if things are working, and it's not like I'll be stranded if the EDU cuts out again.
