What I'm really trying to find out is if there is some sort of diode or capacitor in the back of the gauge cluster that I can change out. That's what I think is going bad I just don't know if they're actually is something on the back of the gauge cluster that I can change out to remedy the outside temperature discrepancy. I haven't figured this out 100% but I'm not really sure the outside temperature gauge has anything to do with the HVAC system on the inside of the car. The inside HVAC works as it always has. Doesn't do anything drastic. I have three other 9000 and they are not doing this. I've read where people have taken these gauge clusters into Saab shops back in the day and they were able to fix these does anybody have that kind of information? I've changed the edu out so I know it's not the edu I've also changed the sensor out on the front bumper. I do know what you're talking about though if it's sitting in a parking lot and it's 120° on the pavement yeah it will pick that up but then as soon as you drive it will get back down to close to the actual air temperature. That's not the problem I'm actually having. Seems to be consistently off by say 30 or 40 degrees which makes me think that either a capacitor or something similar like that has blown.
