'86 9000 110000 miles
I had mine rebuilt at the dealer. What a waste of money that was. They said the strange noises I was hearing was a sign the transmission was about to fail. Somehow after $1800, the noises are still there, but they say its fine. Also shifting into 3rd under a heavy load is interesting now. It used to shift smooth in all gears. I took it back and they looked at it about a week after I brought it back. Said they couldn't find anything wrong. Seems like Everytime I took it to that dealer, the more my BP would go up. It wasn't worth taking it back again.
I was and still am getting a weird grinding sound as I'm backing up (and in Reverse) with the clutch pushed in.
When the tranny goes, I'm going to get a factory fresh one out of the box and put Amsoil in it from the start. This time I'll have it worked on somewhere other than in Roanoke, VA.
