all the lines, unless i just couldn't find the loose connection, or there is a crack in a line that is just too small, i'm stumped. but, would a loose/cracked vaccuum line cause the dipping tach needle in gear? i'm not going to lose my temper or anything, because i feel they cut me a pretty good deal, but a clutch job ought to be a pretty routine thing for an indy shop that specializes in saabs. thanks for the reply, i'll post any follow ups after i get some resolution.
