Being a Harley owner is irrelevant to this discussion, though it is true that some pre-Evo owners do prescribe to the heavier-is-better philosophy. I don't, and recommend that owners of Shovelhead and earlier engines use 20w50. The factory spec for my Harley Evo is 20w50, except in weather much colder than I ride in, and that's what I put in it. My '66 Corvette, having a 427 cid engine that is very loose-toleranced by nature, also gets 20w50.
You can put 0w30 in your modern cars if you wish, but it is still OUT OF SPEC for Saabs, and you seem to be riding alone on this bandwagon.
