I moved the firewall back 1 inch from stock.Took a 1 inch cut out of the horizontal ledge and moved it back and rewelded it together.Have seen some where they just took a large hammer and drove it back.Not too sanitary but gets the job done.I did mine 18 years ago,so had no one to consult with.Also had to put a curved recess in the power brake unit for alternator clearance.
