Thanks for responding. Perhaps I should not have mentioned the minor issue with the key. That has been dealt with. The real problem is that when I turn the key to start the starter motor does not engage. This problem developed abruptly a couple of days ago. I had started the car, it stalled shortly after starting, I attempted a restart and . . . nothing from the starter. Otherwise I have electrical power and a good battery.
