On my 1994 99 Wagonback I had 185's on the back and 195's on the front... to see if the 195's would fit ok on the rear, I swapped them. In checking the clearance between the shock tower and the tire on the pass side I found ample... perhaps 3/4" clearence.... but on the drivers side it is near rubbing... I took the car for a spin to let it all settle, and upon returning to the garage it is no different. I'm going to swap rear wheels and see if there is a diff....
A friend noted that the left side rear wheel seems tilted in at the top.
Accident damage perhaps?
Do rear axles have adjustments ?
The rear wheel bearings need to be redone, but can the wobble that much?
The car tracks straight and true down the hwy and no vibrations have been noted...
