I think the Sport and Rally springs were designed with rallying in mind (thus they have a larger ride height). If anyone knows any differently I'd like to know. A friend of mine apparently has a set of original S&R springs in his 99 rally car and it sits pretty high. I think the front springs that are in my 99 rally car are also the S&R springs (the rears aren't). My car has about a 3/8" spacer on top of the springs and it sits pretty high (of course it has to). I know ScanWest had some of the S&R springs duplicated for rallying but they sold out of the sets they had, but I'm told that you can get them to wind you some if you give them ample time (two other people that I know who rally 900s have them, their cars also sit high without spacers).

My car is very stiff when you push on the bumper but the car rides very smoothly over bumps. This is mostly due to the full roll cage and the Bilstein shocks re-valved for rallying. The theoretical spring rate that I calculated for the fronts is about 410 lb/in. I calculated about 275 lb/in for SPG springs and 522 lb/in for the OMP springs I have. I think stock 900 springs are around 180 lb/in.

The Sport and Rally springs are stiff but would make the car sit higher than stock (unless there was a different kind of S&R spring designed for road/track use). Do you have a set?
