Hmm.. Wouldnt know anything about AC, but if the nut is tight then there is the possibility that your other two mounts are getting tired and allowing more flex. Just a guess. I suppose the alternator shaft length would play a big part in that rubbing. Check out those other mounts and maybe see about getting a new set. I bet that would cure your problem!!
