Jon, I thought about your problem. Yesterday your name didn't quite sink into my slipping memory. When I re-looked at your posting, I remembered what I had talked to you before about that conversion. With the connections that you mentioned, you have the correct updated TPS switch. I also remember we confirmed your computer number before. Forget any computer being bad concerns...super rare failure. Remember what I talked about reguarding the wiring configurations at the computer for that 1.85 to 2.0 upgrade? They have the identical connector, however, the pins are re-configured. Also, there were some wiring color variences(72-4). So, You need to confirm and reconfigure your computer harness by comparison. It isn't that hard. I simply made a copy of each version of the harness connector from the wiring diagram, and cross checked each connection one at a time (every single one).A small screwdriver will suffice as a pin removal tool at the harness. Then you will have to confirm your TPS connector is in the right 2.0 configuration (same tool). As far as the added wire there goes, it is simply a ground, so just confirm it is wired back to a good grounding point.I highly doubt that black wire was run back to it's OEM position. Jon, this is the source of your problem. Mine ran the same way yours did, until I figured this out. I still have my notes somewhere If you get stuck.
