Well, the clutch seems to be working now. It looks like the throwout bearing moves about 1/4 inch or so (it's kind of hard to tell, since I was working alone, using the giant pickle fork clutch tool to hold the clutch pedal down). I forgot, is it supposed to move that little when new, and increase as the clutch wears out, or is it the other way around?
After a short test drive, I'll be getting a wheel alignment. While doing the clutch, I also swapped in an EMS rack, so I need an alignment. The car really stinks in snow. It's got the exact same wheels and tires as my other 99 that was great in snow (but rusted out pretty badly), so I'm assuming this 99 isn't good in snow due to the alignment. So, I'm thinking not to go too aggressive with the set up, so that I have some wet weather traction. Also, it's my daily driver, so it won't see hard cornering very often.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Toe-in: 0.03
Camber: -0.25 deg. (or maybe -0.50)
Caster: 1.25 deg (or maybe 1.50)
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
TIA
Roger
