The only down side depends on what 4 speed you have. If it is a later chain drive, you will have the same issues/joys you have now but with a lighter and easier to find parts for engine. The gear drive trans is a bit weaker and really runs the RPMs up there on the freeway but if that is what you have then you're used to it. The H motor doesn't produce much more power than the B-motor so no worries there. Attaching the two isn't a problem.
