That compression may be slightly low, but generally if they're all within about 10% there's probably not a problem. I'm not sure what is a good reading on today's engines (I worked a lot on older foreign cars with high-compression engines, and I expect newer engines to be somewhat lower.) Did you check it cold, or warm? Usually warm gives better readings. I've seen Fiats that had terrible compression when cold ...we were ready to pull the head and do a valve job ... but if you started the car and ran it for a few minutes, then tested it, all the cylinders would be fine.
How long has this car not run? Is there a lot of moisture in the air that could condense on cold metal ... including inside the exhaust system? Did you run it long enough to get the exhaust good and hot? Did it still smoke when everything was hot?
White smoke is water, gray smoke is oil and black smoke is gasoline.
