Sounds like your crankcase ventilation is blocked. Check the vaccuum line coming from the valve cover to the intake manifold, the small one. The little orifice in the plastic fitting that plugs into the valve cover gets plugged. Take if off and spray carb cleaner in it.
If it's plugged, then blow by goes through the big tube and through your intake bellows, leaving depostis. Some will always go through there, but not in the amounts your described.
Have you had the valve cover off? Is it gummed up in there? Cleaning out the inside of the valve cover helps too.
