I took off the rubber bellows and the throttle body was covered with sticky, gummy, dark stuff. What was that? I just cleaned this area last week with carb cleaner, so I cleaned it again. Does this mean that I am running rich or something?
Also, I got the car started today and eventually worked the rpm up to about 3000 rpm, and was revving it over and over with real nice results. No back firing. It was responded very well to the gas pedal. It felt and sounded amazing. As soon as I let it come back down to idle, it started running rough again and died fairly quickly.
Any thoughts/ideas/help is greatly appreciated.
