it has a weber carburetor (put in back in '04), electric fuel pump and a regular point type ignition. Unfortunately all the times i took it to my mechanic to get fixed the car only duplicated the problem for him once. He reset the float and did a carburetor repair kit. I was also having problems with the headlights not always coming on and i lost the turn signals - they cleaned all the contacts and installed new fuses on the fuse panel - after all this the car seemed to run fine - no problems starting and the lights worked(I thought there could of been a connection between the no start and the electrical issues)- Then it started up again. Another guy looked at the car - it did the "no-start" thing right after i dropped it off - he thought there was a vacuum issue and replaced a couple of hoses right under the air filter/carburetor - that worked for awhile as well (or at least i think so - i have not driven it much this winter and much of this work was done just before)
thanks for all your help!
