Two things come to my mind, a dirty rusty fuel tank or line causing dirt to get into the carb bowl and plug a jet or the electric fuel shut off is sticking in the off position due to weakness and heat expansion. If the problem is the tank you will have specs of rust in the bottom of the carb bowl. Sometimes this debris will momentarily block a jet. If it is the fuel shut off solenoid you could try turning on the key and tapping on the solenoid when it was hot and not starting to see if it will open. I had to replace the solenoid on one of my Weber carbs.
