I have resolved the issue. For some reason the terminal end of the points where it plugs into the power wire was shorting to ground against the inside of the distributor. I bent the connect up and away a tiny bit and used heat shrink to insulate the connection. Thanks so much for all of the help! Bulletin Board Pulls through again.
