And if some police profiler decided that it must have been a porn viewing church goer that committed a crime, would that justify you being on a list of suspects? Would it justify you being arrested and held for questioning even though you were innocent?
Perhaps we are being paranoid Richard. However I still have a problem with someone being able to track my whereabouts WITHOUT my knowledge of their activity and WITHOUT my ability to know why they would want to do that or what data they retain. Not to mention that the third party could make money selling that info. Do I have a right to a share of the profits?
Unfortunately Richard you can be arrested for "being in the wrong place at the wrong time" in spite of there being no other evidence. There are other issues to boot.
I am already in too many databases that send me junk mail and call me to sell things I don't want. Yes I am "opted in" the major bureaus "out list". Fat lot of good that does. I don't agree with the idea that privacy is dead, get used to it. So, I try to find ways to keep it. Not purchasing on-Star is one way I can say no.
Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.....
