Premium gas will allow you to get the maxiumum performance from your turbocharged engine. Depending on the temperature, amount of boost, altitude, etc. the engine computer makes the most power it can based on the type of fuel it has to work with.
Synthetic oil will give your engine the best protection possible. I use Mobil 1 10W-30 and change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles on my Saabs. I have never had an engine wear related problem. I do mainly city driving and this works well for me.
