At the beginning of this year I was looking for a way to get a better price on a BMW 3-series. After about a month of "due diligence" I stumbled into a Saab dealer and drove a 9-3. Although I thought it was an OK driver, I was really taken with the incentives being offered at that time. I thought Saab was worth a second look.
A few weeks later I took one out for a longer drive and found that it would be a good price/prize compromize car. Boy was I wrong. The Saab is quirky, funky, unique and just a hoot to drive. I'm glad that I had the chance to learn what Saabs are about because of the incentives.
Although I love my BMW roadster when the sun's out, I love the Saab for a whole different bunch of reasons when I have to carry more than one person, big luggage, house stuff from Lowe's or any other time that the roadster won't work.
Is the Saab better than the roadster? No. It's just great for a whole bunch of different reasons. I'm just glad I found out about them.
