Hey, I agree with you 100%!!! Pontiac's are garbage.. This term is used loosely among my friends about how crappy a car can actually be. To me, nothing is more offensive to the eye than a Pontiac. Gaudy pieces of plastic slapped all over the car does not make it go faster nor perform any better. Yes, I agree, the 9-3's styling is nothing close to a pontiac, however, I view the plastic components throughout the 9-3 as being severely downgraded from what I was used to in my '91 900T. The door handles, mirrors, heater control knobs, etc... I felt as though those parts were built to last on my '91... My 9-3 feels as though they've been given the 100k lifespan like a Ford Taurus's tranny, or other parts that have a pre-determined life expectancy... I feel as though I now have for a daily driver a less utility-oriented vehicle than I did with my '91.
