If you can afford a Viggen, you can afford a new A4 V6 3.0. That car, with the 6 speed manual will stay close enough to a Viggen, although it is not quite as fast in a straight line. It has a nicer (but tighter) interior, is quieter and steers better. The car rides nicer also. The back seat and the trunk on the Vigen are much larger. So, drive both cars and see what apeals to you.

If you need a hatch, perhaps wait a few months unitl the new A-4 Avant comes out.

If you need fast, the Viggen is really great. But, keep in mind, fast is easy. A lousy Nissan Altima is as poweful as a Viggen.
