I disagree with some of the comments. I know the mustang from a dead stop would leave you behind, but not from a rolling start. (5.5 vs 6.5-7.0 sec starts to 60 with stock)
I have a '99 9-3 SE HOT and I went up against a '98 mustang GT. I was behind him at a light and I thought he was lolly gaggy too much so I started going around him. Well that got it on. Neither one of us could get any ground on one another. We hit 110 (in 4th. btw, I'll take it up to 77-80 in third if I need to get someplace fast) before we got too near a blind spot and a light. He wanted to go again when the light changed, but I knew there was no way, so I rolled and then caught up with him a bit later.
I could tell this guy was trying because his car was blowing some nice sounds. I'm very pleased that my four banger did so well against twice the cylinders!!!
