Audi A4 1.8t today. How many of you have done this and what are your impressions?
I found both cars generally attractive on the outside, Audi seemed to be nicer inside, also seemed to be bigger overall. A bit more turbo lag with the Audi. Neither is what could be considered as quick. Ride was better with the Audi, and handling somewhat better with the Saab. Price is comparable, although Saab wants full sticker, Audi can be discounted a bit. Noticed 3 or 4 paint runs on the Saab, Audi finish was first class.
What this may get down to is the Audi is a second year car with the bugs worked out and Audi has a local dealer with a good rep and a great warranty. Nearest Saab dealer is 100 miles away, good local indie, but no warranty work can be done by him. This car is for my wife and I want it to be trouble free, otherwise, my life will be hell. Problem is she likes the Saab a bit better.
