Hmm....very interesting....I've noticed the majority of the water to be in the corners (the corners closest to the taillights...)Also, about the antenna...the antenna on this car is currently not functioning (stuck out about 6 inches)it has a crimp in it - it's on the list of warranty fixes I'm having done next Friday....Also, the bumper on this car has been involved in some type of accident - it's scraped on both sides and I've noticed that the bumper where the hatch closes & makes contact with it is warped and doesn't lay flat - at first I suspected this for water getting in, but, the gasket seems tall enough that it water shouldn't really bypass it and get in that way. I've noticed the rubber gasket going around the hatch, anywhere it has a hole in it to let air out I guess, water SQUIRTS out. Is this "normal"? I think I caught this problem soon enough that there's no mildew or mold or reeking smell back there and it doesn't look as though water has ever been under the spare tire, but, it's weird that the mat over the tire was wet (where the foam is) unless that's why the water isn't in the area under the tire.
My past water leaks with my other Saabs was usually in some way related to the sun roof drains & whatnot. I've had a cellular phone shorted out & ruined that had been mounted under the back seat by the alarm system ('91 900S) I've also had to had a windshield replaced & removed because of leaking. So, this is my first experience with water at the back end of the car.
It's been raining here every day during the entire 6 days I've had the car--what was puzzling to me was seeing sandy water coming in - and someone mentioned a flap under the car - maybe I have multiple leakage(?!) At least the car isn't FLOODING.
Thanks for the info.
