Good news!
I don't know exactly what you mean by run-out. Can you explain? The rubber was not round but the rim was ok? Most folks can't believe when you talk about a tire not been round! Michelins have a repulation for accurately round tires. That still makes me want to laugh.
I found with my own toe-in adjustments done with a simple guage in my driveway, that the steering feeling was very sensitive to this. After each adjustment I would have to move the vehicle to let the tread stress unwind. So a loop through the local streets was what I did. Very small adjustments would take the steering from feeling very dead and unwilling to very responsive. So its a rather fine line. Now with the rubbery bits greatly eliminated with the VRK, the 95SET was probably more sensative to such things.. shall we say more easily upset from its peak performance? My toe-in adjustments were very close to zero.
So how did your toe-in get off? Something had to move. A nasty pot hole, especially at highway speeds, can move things. Subframes can distort or shift, control arms can bend, but that is rather rare. Most always a mistery.
