Redtops are pricey! But I gather than they are worth it. Thanks to REM and others for the recommendation! Of course, lazy me waits until the car actually dies at a carwash to deal with the battery!

[My impression of a car wash attendant: "hey, I can't get the key out! I know!We'll just leave it in with the engine off, even though that means the headlights are on and it'll take at least twenty minutes to do the car. I'm sure batteries are made for that sort of thing"]

At any rate I think my installers got the battery cover back on (99s have the flexible kind, not the rigid box), but I need to dbl check.

BTW: should I assume that I need new plugs because I was running on a dying battery for several weeks? Or am I just making things up?
