Ironically, I didn't see your previous post because yesterday I was at Car Toys, the place that installed my stereo, having my new Optima battery installed hence giving me a reason to get on TSN today.

Anyway.

I have ventured further on my SWI-X quest yet, but I have read on this BB that someone did get an installer to make it work on a 99 9-3. Also, PAC's documentation changed recently indicating that perhaps someone got it to work.

I'm not using the Taliaferro kit, as I had it installed at the aforementioned Car Toys and they had the fit kit. I did have my girlfriend make me a kind of panel to take up the rest of the 1.75 DIN slot - it looks cleaner that way - flush - and I for one do not miss the small storage space I would otherwise have.

I have no idea how to make this work consistently though.
