I looked at many cars before I bought my SS. I traded in a 03 A4. I test drove a IS300, C230K, Passat W8 and a 328I. The C230K is a nice car. I felt it was underpowered though. The 1.8L was kinda boring in my book. I felt the C230K interior to be crapped and a bit cheap. I feel my SS has much more torso room then the C230K. I really didn't like the dash layout either. The buttons look like they were straight out of a Pontiac. The car doesn't even come with a CD player? Its 2004!. As soon as you start added options, the price jumps up quick. So pretty much, you are paying for the pointed star on the hood. Go out and test drive both. You will see the SAAB shines over the competition
