Robby G, I was told the same thing. I have 00 9-3 base with 60K. At 60K, I asked them if they can switch it and they recommended "NO"... I think they told me it would make things too slippery in there...
That was the last time I visited that dealership. I had my indy mechanic do the 60K service and mine was switched to full from semi at 60K. So far no problem. I think Dean recommended to change the first set of synthetic oil sooner than the other ones, (also he recommended to use Techron before the change) so I will be looking at my to change in about 2000 miles. (I already got 1000 miles on it) After that, I plan on going for 5 or 6K plus...
