Dealers always win - scheduled maintenance

Took my 99 9-3 S in for her 60K. Ever notice how when you turn your service book in to get it stamped that they keep the card which describes all they are supposed to do for that service? Interesting practice. Out of curiousity, I xeroxed it before my 60K (which was $615.00). They called me during the day to suggest that I get my ATF (Auto Trans Fluid) Changed ($75). Well, it CLEARLY says that this should be included in the service. I complained, and they rolled over. I was already not too popular b/c i chizzeled them on the cost of the service $60 b/c other dealers were charging less.
I was pleased with myself for about a day. Exactly one day after pickup, the check engine light goes on, first time ever. Coincedence? Come on, it literally cant be... they are going to get their $135 back from me ..
Im convinced that the majority of dealers skip about a third of what they are supposed to do for scheduled maint.
moral: dealers always win, one way or another. our goal is simply to try let them win as little as possible.
