It seems evident to me that the holes in the top are NOT normal "wear and tear" since they're NOT caused by outside elements - they're caused by a defective SAAB part! (The rear window defroster wire clamps' placement)
I have less than 26k on my '01 Viggen Convertible and it's garaged at both home and work and yet one of the holes in nearly completely worn through!
I'm going to make a HUGE stink over this when the time comes. I've got well over a year to make my case, which I'm building now.
There have been multiple posts on this forum about this problem and when I see another 9-3 convertible in a parking lot or on the road, I make a point to check the top for identical wear. Surely enough, I frequently see the same wear in the same spots on these tops.
