Well I just got the car back, being out of warranty Saab USA covered the cost of all the parts and I had to pick up the labor, I appreciated that, but going back to the dealer reminded me how incompetant and careless the dealerships are. It all started yesterday when I originally was scheduled to have it fixed. I dropped the car off in the morning and got a ride 2 work, I was told it would be about 2 hours. I get a call 2 hours later(expecting to hear "your car is ready") nope, they ordered the wrong part. I pickup my car cause i need it for the night and return the next morning. I drop it off and specify "Please do not change the blown tailight bulb I have an extra one, and also remeber to put the fuse back in for the seat warmers when your done". "You got it" he says. off I go to work. I also got an oil change(usually do myself but im going on a long trip next week, and it is -2 degrees out and supposed to snow a foot 2morrow so I'll get the next one.) and I just now picked it up and paid.(and yes they charged me $2.50 for the bulb i told them not to replace (no biggie)) They pull my car around and I inspect the new cover and nice new cushy pad. I sit down adjust the seat and go to put my sealtbelt on. SNAP!. The sealtbelt goes flying. HE forgot to put the seatbelt back on! Are you kidding me how do you forget to put the most important safety feature. I said "good thing I caught that huh" mechanic laughs and says "yea that sometimes doesnt catch all the way." How reassuring. Assuming that they forgot the fuse as well I awssk if he had remebered to replace the fuse I had pulled when the fire occured. His response "They never told me about any fuse" He then popped the panel and took him five minutes to figure out which fuse it was. I say "its the yellow one" as he peruses the fusemap. Ok finally all done. Or I think. I get home home and step out of the car and notice s bunch of black dots on my hood, (car was dirty as hell before due to road salt) It's frozen oil spots. Oh yippie not only are they retarded they are also sloppy. So I get a rag and clean it off and run to the computer to bitch about it on the internet. right after I looked to see if they actually changed the oil, they did.
Is it just me , or if any other type of business was run like this it would be out of business in 2 months, its such a shame how dealerships care nothing about there customers unless they are there to buy. Needless to say my next Saab will not be bought from that dealership. (end rant)
